The surf is "TOTALLY UP" today! Swami's World-Class waves and location made it a great place to be this morning as it was packed at the crack of dawn with big and beautiful sets coming in.
Holly's KUSI News 'Action Sports Report' this morning not only had big waves, but there is also a big debate going on as to whether the 'Women's World Longboard Championship' contest should be held here in Oct. 2010. The community believes the large crowds, the negative environmental impact to the reef and delicate sandstone bluff, and the fact that local surfers would be banished from the break on those days, are all reasons the contest shouldn't be allowed.
